People always want the best for themselves, they want to live to satisfy themselves. As young entrepreneurs we need to separate wants from needs. We dream of having a big office, with a whole line which includes a cut&sew program, a website, a photo studio, a design studio, a warehouse, and a whole bunch of other things. And we know that all of these things will come with time, and that they will help us in our business. But at this point we can't have all of this, there aren't the resources to get all these things.
Wants and needs are easily defined but hard to follow through on. We know that we need; food, water, shelter, air, and things like that and all extra is a luxury and is a want. But when we are in a situation where we want something a lot, in our minds it turns into a need. Our mind seems to block out common sense and just says: "Hey, you really need that piece of crap! It is GREAT, it is the best thing in the whole world and you can't live without it!"
We (Akbar&Fahmad) are in a tight place where we are now sorting out the wants, from the needs in our business. This is hard, we want the best for our business so we can give the best to you. But right now we are going to have to make some sacrifices so we don't start off on a wobbly foot. Then slowly we can start walking towards our dreams full of wants. We will grow, just as you guys will grow with us and as we grow our resources will open up to our wants.
Everyone is scared of this recession, but lets face it. It is happening, and we can't stop it. We just need to tighten up our belts and walk through these hard times, we need to sort out wants and needs. Don't worry guys, the recession is going to leave just as fast as it came and it will all go back to normal. Just be careful and watch your wallet (or purse).
